Product Overview

Alphanso Martina 18 has been designed from the modern integrated circuitry. This one is solid-state semiconductor amplifier. Martina 18 is able to handle 2 input signals at a time (one mono and one stereo). 280 watt is suitable for stage performance, band practice or studio recording with electric basses or acoustic basses, backtracks and overdrive effect. Inside this combo bass amp, a 15-inch speaker is attached and that could bring out very sharp bassy punch tones. Martina 18 amp has its own built-in 5 band tone control that responses upto ±12dB, individual active/passive pre-amps, overdrive pre-amp, built-in compressor, send/return capability for external effects, 200 watt external speaker output, a stereo input pre-amp and a stereo phone out.

Description :

❶ 1⁄4 inch Mono TRS Jack input. A maximum 5m/16ft instrument cable need to be used. Always use a low noise high quality cable to avoid unexpected hum.

❷ Active and Passive pre-amp switch. It would let you choose whether you are using active or passive bass.

❸ This is the selector switch between clean and overdrive. This pre-amp switch works on both passive and active channels.

❹ This gain control works on the clean channel for both active and passive basses, and also on the overdrive channel for both active and passive pre-amps. Gain control needs to set at 50% maximum should work for most of the bass guitars.

❺ This volume control works on the clean channel for both active and passive basses, and also on the overdrive channel for both active and passive pre-amps. N.B. pre-amp volume level should be as same as the maters volume.

❻ 5 band equalizer control. It’s an active equalizer, so the response is huge. It is not recommended to use in its maximum power. The frequencies that respond are 80Hz, 200Hz, 500Hz, 1.2kHz and 3kHz. The equalizer responses upto ±12dB in every band. Follow the user manual’s recommendations.

❼ This is the compressor pre-amp, has an excellent compression range. Threshold and sustain, both works with this single knob.

❽ Martina 18 has 2 x 3.5mm stereo channels. The left one can handle upto 1dBV (stereo) auxiliary input. Volume of auxiliary input needs to control from the source. The right one delivers sound to headphones or recording input and can deliver upto 450mW to 45Ω load.

❾ This is master volume which controls the main power amplifier’s sound, that means it works for speaker only. It won’t effect on headphone output. N.B. pre-amp volume level should be as same as the maters volume.

Additional information:
Power Switch: Martina 18 has a power switch with a red light indicator.
Back panel:
Power Socket: The power cable is removable from the amp and would be needed to change in case of damage. Inside the power socket there is a fuse, which is also removable. (You need to change the fuse in case of damage.)
Send/Return: These send-return sockets are for external effects. Remember that after connecting the send socket the amp won’t work unless you connect the return jack back.
Speaker Out: There is a 200 watt speaker output. This is an external speaker system, so you can power up any speaker cabinet you want, when the main inner speaker will cut off.

Warranty :
⚠️ Every Martina 18 product comes with 30 days’ warranty period. For any kind of circuit failure, the warranty will protect your money. But in some cases that won’t be applicable. Let us explain; in case of burns, broken parts or any repair being undertaken; that will void the warranty.

⚡ Electronics are very sensitive products. A slight mistake could cost you an amp; voltage fluctuation, overheat, Humidity or loose connection anything can cause a faulty current situation. In these cases, an amplifier would be needed to repair.
